About this deal

NO! NO! THERE’LL BE NO FACES ON MY FIGHTING POLES!” Septimus wrested away the paint pot and brushes and threw them out of the arena..

I really enjoyed this book because it was really interesting and creative. I also liked this book because teaches children about the Romans and how they lived in Roman times. I really liked studying about Romans and other parts of history and this book made me want to learn even more. The story, how Julius and his friends come to Rome and what happens until their big fight for freedom is indeed bonkers and fast-paced (as promised on the book cover). For me this story was a wild rollercoaster ride through the ancient Rome with twists and turns. It was great fun reading it. It was a fantastic opportunity for me to read this book which has taught me not to waste my opportunities. I really enjoy this book it was about a zebra who became a Pharoah to Roman. I think it is the exactly the same story as Julius Caesar but instead of having Julius Caesar we had a zebra be a crew of animals instead of a crew of people also known as humans. Most of the book had accurate history because the country Britain did used to be spelt as Britannia and I know that was true because I learnt about it in class. My favourite characters were Brutus and Julius. I liked Julius because he never gave up on what he had to do and was always courageous. I liked Brutus because he helped Julius. I would recommend this book to children the same age as me so that they can learn about Romans and become interested in them like me. Julius Zebra isn’t happy about going to the lake with his mum and older brother. The water is gross and smelly. He tries to imagine the water as crystal-clear sparkling water from a mountain, but as soon as he tastes it, he knows better. I hope to read more books by this author and I hope they’re as funny as this one. I have some questions for Gary Northfield:

Look, over here!” shouted Cornelius. “We could use this pot of paint they’re whitewashing the walls with!” I thought this book was really interesting but I do not really like comics. I prefer normal books because proper books give you more information about the characters and the story. The most exciting parts of the book were when the vicious animals beat Julius and his friends because in real life pigs, buffalos and sheep can’t beat a lion or a zebra. In 2013, Walker Books published The Terrible Tales Of The Teenytinysaurs, a collection of never-before published strips. [9] I thought this book was fabulousJ. My favourite scene was when they were on the ship because it was dramatic and intense. I thought the history in the book was a little bit true and it makes me want to know more about ancient Egypt. It makes me want to read more of Gary Northfield's books.

In my opinion, Julius Zebra was a very enjoyable book with a lot of fun and adventure. I like how the author included a glossary and facts at the end. I loved the comic themed introduction and the concept of this book. I would recommend this book for readers aged 8 and over. I was laughing out loud every time when Julius was brutally honest (talk about zebras who speak before they think).😃😃😃 Julius Zebra – Rumble with the Romans is the 1st part of Gary Northfield‘s youth novel series about the crazy zebra Julius and his friends. I love Gary‘s special style and the crazy mixture of historical facts and silly fiction. Home > I learnt a lot from this book, a lot about what it was like to live in Roman times. For example, if you were a gladiator, you had to win your freedom. I learnt about Emperors too but I’d like to know more. After reading the book, I know I’m happy to live in Britain now, not then!

The history in this book was very good because the book tells you about how the Egyptians lived. I would like to learn more about the Egyptians because I am interested in how you might become a pharaoh in Egyptian times. I would like to read a lot more books by Gary Northfield because he writes very funny lines in his books. I think that Julius Zebra is a very funny book full of comedy. Another very good thing about it is that it includes a lot history, like how the Britons would fight the Romans in a battlefield. It relates to real life as well because the Romans had the Coliseum to fight in with different gladiators. The book makes you actually feel like you’re the zebra going up to fight against the Britons. My favourite part was when the Romans where on a holiday on a cruise ship and they want to escape, so they come up with a master plan of dressing up like fish and diving into the ocean. This overall was a really great book it was full of emotions and really was a great book.

The part that kept my attention was when Julius became head of Britannia because I didn't know what would happen to him next. What they don't realise is they have been kidnapped and are being taken to Rome by soldiers to fight great battles with gladiators in the world's deadliest theatre, the Colosseum! Pretend?” Julius was puzzled. “But they don’t even have any arms or legs! Call this a gladiator school? You don’t even know how to make a pretend gladiator!”
