About this deal

In 1991, The Diamond Brothers, a six-part television series written and directed by Horowitz himself, was broadcast on ITV. [14] The series is based on the book South by South East, which Horowitz claimed he wrote after he had written the television series, effectively making South by South East a novelisation of the television series rather than the novel acting as the primary source of inspiration. Both McLinden and Dale reprised their respective film roles, which makes the television series act as a sequel to Just Ask for Diamond. However, unlike the film adaptation, the series has never been released on any home media, and it was also never rebroadcast. The pandemic has been awful in so many ways. For us at New Old Friends, it postponed/cancelled three tours and meant we couldn't present a Christmas show for the first time in years. But at the end of 2020 we were determined to present something to our audiences. The result was an audio version of Crimes Against Christmas released daily from 1st - 24th December as a comedy advent calendar. Mystery Makers: Encourage the children to write a short mystery story or a continuation of the story they watched in the video. They can create their own detective characters and plot twists. Amongst author Anthony Horowit’z other works are the bestselling teen spy series Alex Rider, estimated to have sold 19 million copies worldwide. Anthony also pens numerous successful television series, including Midsomer Murders and Foyle’s War. Renowned as one of the best family shows at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe in 2014 and 2015, The Falcon’s Malteser has played sell-out performances on two UK tours. Now, the much-loved show is coming to similarly thrill London audiences. In The Diamond Brothers in… The French Confection (2002), the Diamond Brothers win a trip to Paris thanks to a French strawberry yoghurt, but accidentally get caught up in a drug smuggling ring and end up being forced to team up with the Sûreté to take them down. The title is a play-on-words on the film The French Connection. I Know What You Did Last Wednesday (2002) [ edit ] Where Seagulls Dare - Diamond Brothers - Read the first Chapter Now! | News". For Christmas 2020, we were over-the-moon to be working with The Core at Corby Cube in association with Imagine Theatre to present a brand new adaptation of the classic family story: The Swiss Family Robinson.

It proved to be very popular, charting at 2 in the Apple iTunes Fiction chart, inside the top 200 overall podcast charts, was featured on BBC Radio 4's Front Row, was named as one of the Top 42 Christmas shows by the i Paper, and even won an OnComm Award. But the most rewarding was seeing the number of listeners and lovely comments from the audience. Lord Knows, the chair of The Whombledun International Invitational Tennis Tournament, has died and his son, Hugh, is suspicious. The police won’t take the case, so Hugh calls in private investigators Perry & Penny Pink, to get to the bottom of things. Falcon’s Malteser is ideal for family groups, children from 8 upwards especially boys, if you enjoy children’s theatre with style, an intelligent script and excellent acting. **** Children's Theatre Magazine

The series currently comprises four full-length novels, four novellas and one short story. A fifth full-length novel entitled The Radius of the Lost Shark is being planned. [1] These books are aimed at a younger readership than Horowitz's young adult novels, such as the Alex Rider series and The Power of Five series. While also having a teenage protagonist and featuring guns, fights, international criminals, and numerous character deaths, The Diamond Brothers series has a more humorous slant through the use of puns, pop culture references and absurd situations. Following a sell-out world premiere run at the Ustinov Studio in the New Year, a critically acclaimed national tour (under previous title Crimes on the Nile), and a "triumphant return" to Theatre Royal Bath's Main Stage in 2019, we are delighted to finally announce the much delayed second tour of our 'hilariously inventive' comedy thriller. Invent a Detective: Ask children to create their own detective character with a unique name, appearance, personality and special skills. They can write a short description or or bring this detective to life through a drawing.I got this book as a gift from one of my cousins, and it kind of intrigued me about what Maltesers had to do with detective work, and then I started reading it. In the end, I enjoyed the book very much. Not only does it provide you with questions that are only answered later on, but the comedy written in the book also entertains a lot, despite being small jokes, or just Tim's idiocy.
