About this deal

Alex Kydd is a Tri-State Area-based actor specializing in contemporary and classical theater. His passion for performing began in his early teens and has progressed into a lifetime motivation. Classically trained, Alex attended The William Esper Studio in New York City. They hardly know each other. Until one week of sharing secrets, pretending to be in love, and sleeping in the same bed changes everything. Feelings that were supposed to be fake start to feel very real. Why were her friends so shitty when they found out about Wes… I understand they were concerned but it was unfair of them to make her feel like she wasn’t important to him. They automatically assumed he would play her when they didn’t know him at all… Maggie was at least nice about it but LIVED in the rival town, why was she not more supportive. The moment she called Wes drunk and he dropped everything to make sure she was okay and THEY WERE BROKEN UP?? I love him more for that. I hate that he pushed her away because he was terrified of losing her and being her second choice, but with his home life it was understandable. The book could have been amazing without all the breakup drama if they had communicated, but I love their relationship . Money buys power, and power always has a price. The fear of those who already possess both? Losing it. The best way to ensure keeping it? Alliances. And elites don’t marry down—they marry equal.

Those reasons have never made sense, though, and they’ve become sillier and sillier the more time I’ve spent with Maeve.”This was such a fun YA romance about two high school rivals that fall in love against all odds. I didn’t love the miscommunication/ third act break up, but then I had to remind myself that the MCs are in high school and what happened can be quite realistic. I also wished for some more development with the side characters! Still, I do recommend this and really enjoyed the book on audio! They confided in each other about the ways of the world, about the issues they faced, and I think if they had been any different in their characters their roles, they never would’ve shared it. I think there’s so much that goes off this by knowing they could be ruined with the information they told, but knowing the other wouldn’t. Her success was so overly looked, she won, she played she was involved and they overlooked her like she was nothing. And it pained me, that the world saw her or her family name not of her own achievements. I love this book, but the ending???? It did not feel like the end. I was reading and thinking i still have a couple of chapters and then „The end“??? WHAT!!!Maybe im just sad that I finished. It was a fast read which makes me even sadder. This book is exactly what i love to read and i wish there would be more to it.This book will be at the top of my list and I will be re-reading it.

For Scarlett Ellsworth and Crew Kensington, that leaves one option: each other. Accepting that inevitability is very different from embracing it. That’s the only thing they agree upon.Wes and Maeve met in secret majority of the time but I adored when she came to the final game in his jersey to support him 💞💘. It basically showed everyone that they needed to mind their business and she was going to love him despite the rivalry in the town, which was so unserious really. Why is her father, a grown adult holding some vendetta over a teenage boy? Liam, I understand but her father was so dramatic but I’m glad that Wes talked to him at the end and called him out for not being at Maeve’s games 🥅 ⚽️. My girl deserved better, especially because she’s so talented. I loved her so much, and she’s extremely dedicated to the sport. But he saw her, as Maeve not an extension of Stevens. Wes saw her for her lifelong achievements, her running in the morning, extra time spent every second on the soccer field. The chlorinated kind she swims in. The perennial droplets soaking her adopted hometown. The waves she ventures out on to observe the ocean.
